One of Sinead's greatest loves was music. At 16,
she was clearly on a journey to become the rock star we always knew
she’d be. Riding the train to the Paul Green School of Rock Music 2-3
times a week, she found a place where she belonged and grew into a
beautiful young woman, inside and out. At School of Rock, she honed
her gifts while learning confidence and team work. No matter what was
going on in her personal life, she could always draw on her strengths
and skills when performing. She respected her fellow musicians and
teachers, whom she also considered her friends.
Sinead was always ready to help at School of Rock
shows from selling tickets and setting up, to working the stand at
intermission raising money for scholarships and breaking down the show
at the end of the night. I didn't think it was possible to be more
proud of her than when I was watching her perform and listening to her
music and her sweet voice, until I attended shows where Sinead was an
assistant director. To see her share her gifts with performers younger
than she was who looked to her for direction made my heart overflow.
Sinead is synonymous with Love. She began sharing it from the day she
entered the world. She was compassionate and kind beyond her years and
was always ready to listen. Her gift was to bring people together.
The way to keep Sinead in our hearts is to live in Love, Laughter and
Light. This is an opportunity to pass her gifts on to others by
providing young people a place to come together to grow, develop and
bring special people, like her, into each other’s lives.
